Level 1 focuses on learning the basics of Bachata Sensual. You will learn different turns as well as important techniques such as frame, tension, timing, etc.

Requirements

• No prior knowledge is required.

During Level 2, we work with similar turns as in Level 1. The focus here is on creating longer sequences and transitions between them.

 

Requirements

• You have been dancing for approximately 4-6 months.

• You should have a certain understanding of Bachata Sensual.

• You should have a certain understanding of the concepts of frame and tension.

• You should have danced socially a few times.

• You should have a certain understanding of basic sequences.

Level 3 focuses on developing turns and skills in musicality, frame, and tension. The turns become more complex, challenging your fundamentals.

Requirements

• Have danced for at least 10-12 months.

• Have an understanding of waves, isolation, tension, and frame.

• You should have a certain understanding of head movements.

• Have danced socially to a considerable extent.

• You should have a good understanding of basic movements.

During this level, your understanding of the dance will be challenged through various turns, exercises, and musicality.

• Have danced for at least 1.5 years.

• Have a strong understanding of waves, isolation, tension, and frame.

• Have an understanding of head movements.

• Have danced extensively in social settings.

• You should have a good understanding of basic sequences/movements.

Level 5 is our latest course. There will be limited spots available for this course. Here, we will delve into Bachata Sensual at a deeper level. The purpose is to develop your dance skills as needed.

 

What we will work on:

• Micro movements

• Advanced leading/following

• Musicality

• Turns

• You will be assigned personal chat groups where you will receive regular feedback throughout the course.

• Have excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of Bachata Sensual.

• Be willing to be challenged.

• Be motivated.

• Be warmed up and ready before the class begins.

Fixed couples!! There will be no rotation.

Mikael & Irina will evaluate whether you can join the group.

You will be invited to a WhatsApp group.

On September 6th, we will go through the structure for Level 5.

Social Technique

 

This new course delves into the details of enhancing three key elements: Frame, Tension, and Preparation. These pillars are crucial for becoming a better social dancer. We aim to provide a deeper understanding of these concepts. The course will explore various angles and positions to improve these aspects, incorporating diverse exercises. Additionally, we will focus on the nuances of indications and constant leading. We'll explore the differences between them, understanding the benefits and challenges of working with these distinct leading/following techniques. This course is not about learning sequences, but rather about gaining an in-depth understanding of the technique behind social dancing.

 

This course is suitable for dancers at Level 2 to 4.
